Governor of Eastern Equatoria Louis Lobong Lojore called on all partners for peace to coordinate with the state government on strengthening peace and reconciliation in communities.

He said harmony is priority of the government of South Sudan since the revitalized peace agreement was signed

‘Peace is important and peace is one of the priorities of the government of the Republic of south Sudan after we have signed Revitalized Peace Agreement. Peace is a process and we will continue to talk about peace. I would like to say to all the partners who are working for peace in Eastern Equatoria that we need to coordinate peace meeting and target the right people. My appeal is that all the partners must coordinate the state government on peace so that they know from us our strategy, our plan’, the governor asked.

Lobong urged stakeholders to extend peace consultation to communities in rural areas to promote development.

He stressed that ‘we need to take peace meetings from the town to the communities in the grass root. This is also important we must also coordinate so that we maximize the little resources to achieve peace that mean we must achieve peace through development’.

The Speaker made the remarks to Radio Emmanuel in Torit on Tuesday.
