One girl was shot dead on spot after the car carrying eight passengers fell into ambush Makongo Base, 50 miles away from Wau town, confirmed police sergeant in the department of crimes investigation in Western Bahr el Ghazal State Abraham Thon Beech
He said the car was coming from Rumbek leading to Wau with eight passengers, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He explained that the criminals shot a container of fuel and the tyres of the car.
The sergeant said the parents of the deceased received the body of their daughter.
He said the government is working hard to identify the culprits and bring them to book.
