Governor urges youth to maintain security along Torit Kapoeta road

The Governor of Eastern Equatoria State is encouraging youth of Hujang kingdom of Otuho community in Torit County to maintain road security along Torit-Kapoeta highway.
 
Louis Lobong Lojore directs people who fled their areas to return home for nation building and peaceful co-existence.
 
He encourages those still in the bush to return home and apologize to their fellow citizens.
 
‘Youth are the future of this country; you need to forgive each other. Tell those still in the bush to come back and continue helping the king to build peace and reconciliation. I want this people all to come back, whoever has done mistake against the government will not be arrested again as long as he comes and apologizes’. 
 
The governor appeals to the youth to focus on developmental activities in the state.
 
Meanwhile, leader of Hujang Kingdom Martin Asaha admits young people have been the main perpetrators of insecurity in the state.
 
He believes creation of youth centers in the villages will bring young people together to share developmental ideas. 
 
‘All the problems that are happening in our areas are caused by youth. As youth of the nine communities we want to see our people peacefully co-existing so that we can have a chance to develop our state Eastern Equatoria. If we could build youth centers in some of these villages to make sure young people are engaged in developmental ideas it will promote unity in Hujang Kingdom,’ the leader explains.
 
The speakers made the remarks at State Secretariat in Torit.
