The government of Lakes is calling for contributions from the former three states of Gok, Eastern and Western lakes for reception of the newly appointed governor Makur Kulang Liei.
The Acting Secretary general of the defunct Western Lakes Agok Monydit said they have already received 1.5 million South Sudanese Pounds from the two former states.
Eastern Lakes is yet to respond with their contribution.
Head of the Governor’s advance team to the state Dr. Akim Makuer said the proposed budget is big but the state is expected to work within their limits.
The High-level Committee was speaking to the press on Monday after their meeting at the state secretariat.
