The government of South Sudan said it will work with the North after independence for the benefit of the two states.
GoSS spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin told Bakhita Radio that the secession of South Sudan does not mean disengagement with the north.Dr. Marial explained that both states of north and south Sudan should be friends and working together.
Dr. Marial called on the people of South Sudan and all the parties in the region to congratulate the National Congress Party and its leadership for their courage to accept the final referendum results.
The spokesperson urged Southerners and all peace loving people to celebrate the referendum final results peacefully at their respective locations.
