The national Police service says it is holding a trader accused of selling dog’s meat in Juba.
Police spokesperson Major General Daniel Justine Boulo says the suspect was arrested in Juba on Tuesday after a tip-off from locals.
He told Bakhita Radio that the suspect is being detained at Northern Police Division in Juba town.
He adds that the unnamed suspect will face the law.
Major General Justine calls on the public to be vigilant and report such cases to authorities.
The officer spoke to Bakhita Radio on Thursday in Juba.
