The Brigadier General of South Sudan People defence forces or SSPDF division in Yei is calling on the church and community elders to persuade those still carrying guns in the bush to return home and join the government of national unity.
Brigadier John Lual Tong appeals to forces in the bush to join the national government.
He adds the revitalized government should consider every citizen’s right to basic services.
Brigadier Lual reveals that only 150,000 soldiers are needed in the defence force.
He encourages those still in the bush to join the national army so that people from Yei, Kajokeji and other parts can be represented.
The brigadier asks church and community elders to persuade those in the bush to hurry and be part of the 150,000 soldiers.
Brigadier Lual was speaking during the burial of Major Paulino Dada John in Yei.
