‘Women should be given chance to serve as chiefs’ says manager

The program manager of Whitaker Peace and Development Initiative is calling on women to be recognized in traditional leadership.
 
Bush Buse requests women to serve as local chiefs in Yei to address issues affecting their community.
 
He calls for women representation in police, ministerial positions and all other decision making processes.
 
The program manager says women related issues can only be addressed if they have a chance to voice their challenges.
 
Bush stresses that Women are peace makers and when involved in decision making, their influence results to fair decisions in the society.
 
The program manager was addressing audience during closure of a two day dialogue on peace building and reconciliation in Yei.
