The Governor of Central Equatoria State Emmanuel Adil Anthony told citizens that working together as country men and women will lead to achieving everlasting peace in South Sudan.
Radio Easter quoted him urging South Sudanese to remember deeply the sacrifice of the brothers and sisters who shed their blood for the independence of the nation.
Adil called on citizens of Central Equatoria and South Sudanese at large to avoid their self-interest motives, desired ambitions and ethnic backgrounds, but look for common understanding that brings the fruits of peace and love.
He urged the citizens to engage in unity that is full of tolerance and involve in productive socio-economic and political development.
The governor requested the people to think and value their diversity as a community or nation in a developing world that do not have violence but calling for peace building and coexistence.
He expected the 9th independence anniversary to be used as a hold out for dialogue, reconciliation and peace.
‘Let us uncover all the root causes that force bitterness and killing each other and come out from the bondage of bitterness and leave hurting others’, Governor Adil appealed.
Governor Adil asked citizens to forgive each other re-unite and join the battle against covid-19, poverty, famine and economy.
