USAID hands over aircraft caravan to WFP in Juba

United States Agency for International Development or USAID on Wednesday handed over aircraft caravan to the United Nations World Food Program or WFP in Juba.
 
Speaking to the press during the ceremony, US Ambassador to South Sudan Thomas Hushek promised that his government will continue to support the people of South Sudan.
 
He disclosed that US administration donated 47 million Dollars during the outbreak and 700,000 USD for aircraft
 
Meanwhile, World Food Programme Country Director Matthew Hollingworth expressed appreciated the American administration for their efforts.
 
USA is one of their most generous supporters in South Sudan, he revealed.
 
Dr. Mayen Machut Achiek, undersecretary in the national Ministry of Health appreciated the move of the donors.
 
He said the aircraft will help them in collecting samples from the whole country.
 
The official made the remarks on Wednesday at Juba international Airport.
