One of the survivors of 1992 Juba massacre says he feels the current government has completely neglected them.

Peter Barra told Bakhita Radio in a telephone interview that since the SPLA/M came to power little has been done to support the survivors and widows of the 1992 massacre.

He adds the families of those who lost their lives in the struggle for this country has been forgotten.

The survivors call on the government to at least construct a memorial site for those who died for the freedom of this country.

They urge the government to emulate other countries who take care of those who fought during liberation wars.

The 1992 Juba massacre was carried out by Sudanese forces under former president Omar Hassan Al Bashir after the Sudan People’s Liberation Army or SPLA attempt to capture Juba failed.
