Ministry of Health and Environment in Western Bahr el Ghazal state confirms that there is an increase in cases of Measles among children in the state.
Director General in the state Ministry of Health Dr. James Ambrose Ucin says the rise in measles cases among children may lead to some serious complications.
He adds the ministry will observe and monitor all measles cases in the hospitals and other health centres.
Dr. James mentions during rainy season there is also an increase of Malaria cases among citizens.
He calls on people to cooperate with municipal authorities and chiefs to clean wastes within residential areas which is acting as breeding ground for mosquitoes.
The official spoke to Voice of Hope radio at the ministry of Health premises in Wau.
