The ongoing communal violence in Lakes State has negatively affected milk business in Rumbek.

A milk seller in Rumbek, Helena Yar Mabor, told Good News Radio that women who supply her with milk do not come these days due to the ongoing conflict.

She said the suppliers are being robbed of milk and harassed on their way to sell their milk in the town and when going back to the cattle camp.

Mary Amoon Deng said the challenge has reduced milk supply because women are afraid of bringing milk to the town.

Director of Animal Production in the State Ministry of Animals Resources and Fishers, Mading Amuor, appealed to cattle camp youth to stop looting milk retailers.

The speakers made the remarks to Good News Radio on Friday in Rumbek
