Director-General in the Ministry of Health in Western Bahr el Ghazal State James Ambrose Ucin revealed that any patient of Covid-19 who surpasses nine days with no symptoms is not a danger or risk to community.
He said they recently received a new recommendation and guidelines from World Health Organization or WHO on criteria for releasing covid-19 patients from isolation and how to deal with them, Voice of Hope Radio reported.
Dr Ambrose noted that any patient with no symptoms of covid-19 can be isolated at their places for 13 days.
It appears safe to release patients from isolation after 14 days rather than strictly on repeated polymerase chain reaction results.
The official spoke to Voice of Hope Radio in Wau.
