Armed youth allegedly from Unity state attacked cattle keepers in Pakuai-Weng Atek, killed six people on spots, wounded tens others and raided 368 heads of cattle at the swamp area, said Angok Majak Ater, Executive Director of former Luacjang North County.
He told Don Bosco Radio that the event occurred on Thursday.
Angok said Luacjang East authority did not contact unity government for what had happened in the area.
The director mentioned that in January and February both bordering defunct counties of Unity and defunct Tonj states were staying peacefully in Mayendit cattle camp.
Majak urges the government to make uniform and comprehensive disarmament to rescue the lives of civilians in South Sudan.
