International Medical Charity Medicines San Frontiers or MSF warns of looming humanitarian and medical crisis in Pibor following weeks of violence in the region.
MSF’s Deputy Head of Mission Josh Rosenstein says weeks of violence in Pibor could worsen the already fragile humanitarian situation.
Last week the medical charity suspended operations in Pibor due to ongoing inter-communal violence.
Rosenstein warns that the violence may cause more suffering to the local population if it continues further.
Greater Jonglei and Pibor areas have been experiencing waves of revenge attacks since start of this year.
