Western Bahr el Ghazal state taskforce Committee on coronavirus on Tuesday confirmed one new case of Covid-19 in the state.
Director General in the state Ministry of Health and Environment who is also the committee’s spokesperson Dr. James Ambrose Ucin says this week one result returned positive from the public laboratory.
He adds they still await results of 59 samples collected from contacts of the six confirmed cases.
Dr. James urged citizens to continue observing the preventive measures and cooperate with health workers in order to stop the spread of the pandemic.
Currently the state has a total of six confirmed cases of coronavirus.
