Rumbek Police spokesperson says about twenty four people were killed and thirty four others injured during inter communal clashes on Sunday in villages of Rumbek East County.
According to Captain Elijah Mabor Makuac a series of attacks occurred due to cattle raiding and revenge killing between communities of Rumbek East, Good News Radio reports.
He adds the injured people are on treatment at Rumbek State Hospital.
Captain Mabor says the revenge attacks has created tension among young people in the area.
The police spokesperson captain Elijah Mabor spoke to Good News Radio on Monday in Rumbek.
