The enactment of the national budget faces delay as revitalized government fails to reinstitute the parliament, according to Edmond Yakani Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO.
He said the budget drafting may drag feet if there is no political will by parties to legitimize the current parliament.
It is not going to be possible to celebrate the national independence without 2020/2021 national budget, the activist noted.
Yakani says the agreement provides the revitalized parliament to consist of 550 members.
South Sudan has not celebrated her independence since the outbreak of the 2016 conflict due to lack of budget.
