The government of defunct western Lakes State takes responsibility to pay teachers’ incentives and capitation grant that was misused by leaders in the ministry of education.
The legal advisor of defunct Western Lakes told the court that the capitation grant that went missing will now be paid by the state government, Good News radio reports.
Former deputy governor who was also the caretaker minister of education, William Koji Kirjok was dragged to court due to the missing money allegation.
Koji is now set free from charges of misappropriation and the state government takes full responsibility to refund the misused money.
