Civil Society Network in Eastern Equatoria organized a consultative meeting with Torit residents to discuss security concerns in the area.
Speaking to radio Emmanuel secretary general of the civil society network Ochieng Philip Clement says due to COVID-19, issues of theft, food shortages and gender
based violence is a big challenge among communities.
He adds the resolution of the meeting will help NGOs respond to the most urgent issues affecting communities during this difficult time of coronavirus.
A participant Adong Jenty Oyito says the meeting has been helpful since community members were able to share different issues affecting them at their residential areas.
Another participant Charles Osuru says the meeting pave way of spreading peaceful information to people from different areas in Torit town.
The speakers made the remarks during an exclusive interview to Radio Emmanuel on Wednesday in Torit.
