Citizens in Rumbek market appeal to traders to sell imported goods according to current dollar rate in the market.
 
They say traders keep on increasing prices of commodities claiming its due to the high dollar rate.
 
They complain that when the pounds gain value against the dollar, prices in the market are never reduced.
 
A restaurant owner Saadia Idris Habib says costs of commodities are very high. She urges shops owners to sell goods at affordable rate.
 
Salah Aldeen Abdu-Rahaman a seller blames the high prices on poor roads, high exchange rate and the pandemic.
 
He admits that costs of imported food items like maize flour, rice, and sugar have increased compared to previous months.
 
The speakers made the remarks to Good News Radio at Rumbek market.
