Council of Churches appeals to warring parties to end violence

The South Sudan Council of Churches is appealing to transitional government and opposition leaders to put an end to the violence happening in some parts of the country.
 
Council of Churches Chairman Bishop Arkangelo Wani Lemi urged the government and the opposition groups to forming the state government to stop the current situation, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He said the leadership needs to put aside their issues and head back to the implementation table.
 
Bishop Wani also called on the international community and other non-governmental organizations to provide assistance during this corona virus pandemic period.
 
The Chairman of the South Sudan Council of Churches spoke to journalists on Wednesday in Juba.
