CEPO calls for immediate release of activist in detention

Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO is calling for immediate release of a civil society activist currently in detention.
 
On Tuesday executive director of Organization for Non-Violent and Development or ONAD, Monday Moses was arrested in relation to the campaign ‘Gurush Wen’ launched by the civil society forum.
 
CEPO’s Executive Director Edmund Yakani told Bakhita radio they will meet with relevant authority to facilitate the release of the activist.
 
Yakani appeals for safety of the activist while in custody at national security.
 
CEPO’s director stresses such act is unacceptable and against human rights act.
 
He calls for the right procedure to be followed in cases the activist broke the law.
 
Edmund Yakani was speaking to Bakhita radio on Wednesday in Juba.
