Commercial riders commonly known as Boda –Boda in Tonj are complaining about increased fuel prices in the market.

Speaking to Don Bosco radio, commercial rider Mario Lino says 1.5 litters of fuel now costs 600 South Sudanese pound which is too much compared to two months ago.

He adds they pay motorbike owners 1000 SSP daily and in case of damages, the rider will take responsibility of repair.

Mario explains some days they work on losses but still have to pay the owner.

Fuel seller Joseph Athiet-rel Mou says 1.5 litres costs 600 SSP because a jerrycan of fuel in Wau costs 6,500 apart from transportation.

another fuel seller Angelo Akoon Machar sells 1.5 litres at 550 SSP because he brings his fuel from Juba at affordable price.

Don Bosco radio could not reach authorities for comments on the matter

The speakers made the remarks to Don Bosco radio on Wednesday in Tonj.
