Otuho Peace Task Force say Hiyala Payam of Torit County is relatively peaceful.
Chairperson of the peace task force, Atari Jacob applauds villages of Hiyala Payam for respecting the peace agreement signed by the community members.
He adds the team will continue to monitor and promote peace initiative in the area.
On the other hand, advisor to the Peace Task Force members Hifita Paska Oduho says they will continue to embrace goodwill for people and villages of Otuho to realize peace.
She adds they will reach out to all villages to ensure communities live peacefully.
Paska encourages free movement among the community members especially to access medical facilities.
People of former Torit East county recorded a number of insecurities including inter communal fights, road robberies, and cattle raiding among people of Iloli and Hiyala community.
Last month, Otuho Peace Task Force initiated peace and reconciliation between Iloli and Hiyala village witnessed by representatives from other communities.
The speakers made the remarks during Radio Emmanuel’s ‘Good Morning Eastern Equatoria Program’ on Wednesday in Torit.
