The bishop of the Catholic diocese of Yei says the death of former missionary superior Fr Abel Modi Nyorko reminds priests and seminarians to continue with pastoral ministry.

‘Even though Christians are saddened because of the death of Fr Modi, God has prepared his dwelling place in heaven,’ the bishop adds.
Father Modi was former provincial superior of the South Sudan Province, during that time he worked with displaced people in camps in Juba.
He lived his last five years at the Cincinnati Mission Center where he died peacefully on June 1, 2020, from complications brought on by COVID-19.
