A man in Wulu County accidentally shot dead his wife in Makundi village when she was gathering lulu fruits.
Police inspector Machar Maker, explains the incident occurred at around 7:30 am when the man shot dead his lactating wife.
He adds the suspect is currently in police custody pending trial.
The inspector advises citizens to avoid hostility and abuses against women and girls.
In a related story, 50 year old woman was shot on the back with a bow arrow on Monday night by her husband.
The woman was rushed to Wulu primary health care center for medication.
The police inspector was speaking to Good News radio in a telephone interview on Tuesday.
