IDPs staying under trees in Mapel in dire need, says director

Executive Director in former Mapel County Arkangelo Uchir Lual said the internally displayed persons or IDPs staying under trees are in dire need as they lack tents, food and medication supports.
 
Speaking to Don Bosco Radio, Uchir said children are dying under trees due to many conditions facing them.
 
Fr. Joseph Chisomo Nakoli of Sacred Heart Parish, who visited that area assured the people of Mapel of good relationship among themselves as they were sisterly peacefully interacting with people.
 
The IDPs left their houses because of the communal conflicts between cattle keepers of Tonj and farmers of Alur area in Wau.
 
Don Bosco Radio quoted William Deng saying that there are 10,750 IDPs in Mapel area.
 
Maliya Mangari, IDPs in Bab-cok said their children are suffering from hunger since women could not manage to collect wild fruits in the forest due to insecurity threats.
