Activists demand medical experts to lead COVID-19 taskforce

Civil rights activists are calling upon the national government to form a new COVID-19 taskforce headed by medical experts.
 
Coordinator of Women Monthly Forum, Betty Sunday, called on the government to reconstitute by bringing into the taskforce, medical professionals to run it.
 
Chairperson of the Association of Media Women in South Sudan, Veronica Lucy Gordon, said the COVID-19 taskforce requires only health experts, not politicians.
 
Several members of the national COVID-19 taskforce, including first Vice president Riek Machar and Vice President Hussein Abdel Bagi tested posited.
 
On Wednesday, South Sudan Confirmed 994 COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths and 6 recoveries.
