Islamic Relief started distribution of food and non-food items early last month to six thousand households in Tonj East, said Marko Akuei Mariak project assistance officer of the agency.
He told Don Bosco Radio on Friday that they were implementing lifesaving food and wash project dealing with drilling of boreholes and rehabilitation.
Marko explained that in January, Islamic Relief donated some hygiene kits and non-food items to the vulnerable people in Tonj East.
He said the Relief organization drilled eight boreholes in Makuac, Palel, Alieya and Yapangok.
Akuei disclosed that Islamic relief is running both dry and wet seasonal programs in Tonj East and Tonj North.
