Young Women Forum in collaboration with Norwegian Church Aid or NCA in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal State commemorated the Menstrual Hygiene Day.
Chairperson of the Forum Sebelia Sebit Ezan said the day is important because it alerts females to take care of their hygiene.
She revealed that during the commemoration day they distributed menstrual hygiene kits to 25 girls in Wau.
Sebelia advised mothers to be closer to their daughters and explain to them about menstruation cycles.
While on the other side the teenage girls appreciated the Forum for the initiative of commemorating the day and enlightening them.
Every year, the World celebrates International Menstrual Hygiene Day. In Wau, Young Women Forum distributed menstrual hygiene pads for marking the day.
