The Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) is training journalists from Upper Nile state’s various media houses on post referendum issues.

The four-day training is attended by over forty journalists, Voice of Love reported.

Boboya James Edimond, the NPA program coordinator, said the NGO is implementing the UNDP project of media training and the media monitoring as well as the in-house training for media personnel since last year.

Mr. Boboya said that the training is important for covering the post referendum issues.

He added that the governance of South Sudan is the most important topic and journalists would play a crucial role by giving accurate information to the community on the ongoing government activities.

The coordinator urged the journalists to be energetic to achieve objectives and acquire knowledge in the training.

Mr. Boboya told journalists to be neutral in their reporting.
