Pastor calls for speedy formation of state governments

Head of the Pentecostal Church in South Sudan Bishop Isaiah Majok Dau called on parties to the Revitalized Peace Agreement to form the state governments  quick to fight corona virus and curb insecurity in various region of the country.
 
He said the issue of Covid-19 should not be used as an excuse to delay appointment of state governors, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
The Pentecostal prelate urged leaders of the Revitalized Transitional Government to speed up establishment of state governments to restore law and order.
 
Bishop Dau spoke during the National Day of Prayer and Fasting to counter Covid-19 pandemic on Friday.
 
Earlier this month South Sudan’s main opposition group rejected a decision by President Salva Kiir to allocate states to former warring parties.
 
The parties have so far failed to reach an agreement on the allocation of the tens states.
