UNFPA demands increase access to reproductive health services

The UN Population Fund or UNFPA calls for more efforts to increase access to reproductive health services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
UNFPA representative in South Sudan, Dr. Mary Otieno said movement restrictions to curb spread of COVID-19 affects vital reproductive health services, Radio Bakhita reported.
 
She noted that lack of health care threatens safety of women in South Sudan.
 
Dr Otieno expressed UNFPA happiness to hand over to the Ministry of Health included reproductive health kits to provide sexual and reproductive health services across South Sudan.
 
Director General of Reproductive Health at the National Ministry of Health, Dr. Alexander Demetry, said the government would work with partnership with UNFPA to increase access to reproductive health services in South Sudan.
 
The officials were speaking during the handing over of reproductive health kits to the ministry of Health on Thursday in Juba.
