Insecurity delays closure of courts in Tonj, says director

Director-General in the Ministry of Local Government Augustino Akoch Agoth said insecurity in the area led to the delays of the circular for the closure of the courts in the town.
 
He told the media on Thursday that he is waiting for the Secretary-General’s approval in order to issue the circular for the closure of the courts.
 
The official said the courts are supposed to close since the beginning of May, but due to dissolution of the government in the state and insecurity it delayed.
 
Akoch vowed to sit with the committee since Secretary-General is not around in the defunct state in order to close the courts for the safety of civilians.
 
He literated that only two courts will be operating within the town to resolve crimes, disputes and domestic cases but social distances would be observed strictly.
 
Marko Mabior Ajiech, Executive Director in former Tonj South County said it is a system already before the corona virus outbreak.
 
He explained that the aim of this system is to give time to defendant against complainer to see his/her home issue especially cultivation.
