Director urges South Sudanese to use COVID-19 lockdown for planting trees

Deputy Director of Central Equatoria State Tree Nursery Centre, Suzan Isaac Lodu urged citizens of South Sudan to use the partial COVID-19 lockdown to plant trees in a bid to protect the environment.
 
She advised people to utilize their free time by planting various trees because trees help in boosting soil cover and restoration of fertility, Radio Bakhita reported.
 
The deputy director appealed to South Sudanese to keep the country green and clean.
 
Manager of the Tree Nursery, Theresa Nelson said the public can purchase variety of trees, flowers and fruits seedlings from State Tree Nursery Centre.
 
She said the government nursery is selling at low prises for all citizens to buy.
