He said the COVID-19 testing facility in Juba is overwhelmed by samples coming from the whole South Sudan, Radio Bakhita reported.

The activist appealed to the government to open more centers in order to expand testing of suspected cases across the country.

South Sudan currently has one coronavirus testing machine based at the public health laboratory in Juba capable of testing at least 500 samples per week.

Yakani advised citizens to follow preventive measures to help in the fight against the novel coronavirus.
