SCODO conducts awareness against rape and gender violence in Wau

Serve Children, Orphans and Disable’s Organization or SCODO on Friday conducted gender-based violence awareness against rape cases as part of social and human development to the betterment of South Sudan.
 
Organization director, Uliny Angelo Bola, said the awareness was to mitigate rape which has become a common practice amongst the community members at different ages.
 
Angelo revealed that participants were also given some knowledge on coronavirus to make them keen in preventing and protecting themselves from the disease as they continue with gender-based violence awareness.
 
The director encouraged people to report rape cases happening in communities without fear.
 
The awareness targets only five participants from Wau town to maintain social distancing.
 
Save Children, Orphans and Disable’s Organization or SCODO is a national non-for-profit community based organization to eradicate the suffering of vulnerable community through life skill training, empowering women to become self-reliant, provision of basic education, health services, agriculture and peace building.
