Civil society organization forum calls for increased response to fight covid-19

Civil Society organization forum in Yei is calling for increased response on the fight against corona virus pandemic in the county.
 
The organization commends the efforts of state taskforce committee on COVID-19 for rising awareness on prevention guidelines, provision of wash items, and information surveillance.
 
The forum’s chairperson Mustafa Adams explains they noted the seven confirmed cases are still socializing with community member which is a big risk.
 
He adds it is unacceptable to keep patients at home given the reluctance and disobedience of some patients to adhere to preventive guidelines.
 
The forum calls on the taskforce committee to urgently renovate and equip the identified quarantine centers.
 
They also call on the committee to monitor the asymptomatic patients closely and refer them to isolation centers to avoid further spread of the virus in the communities.
 
The civil society forum appeals to citizens to strictly follow the preventive guidelines provided by the national Ministry of Health and World Health Organization.
