Hotel owners in Torit town have welcomed the presidency order of lifting lockdown restriction.

According to a statement issued by the presidency last week, nighttime’s curfew has been moved to start from 10:00PM to 6:00AM.

The statement further said restaurants, bars, boda-boda, Rickshaws, and others will now be allowed to resume during non-curfew hours.

Speaking to Radio Emmanuel Torit hotel manager Obitre Nelson says by modifying the lockdown restrictions it has helped boost his business.

He adds his clients follow the social distancing in the bars and restaurant of the hotel.

Meanwhile manager of Equatoria Guest house Peter Thon calls on community to observe the social distancing.

He adds there is still much to be done in educating societies on how to prevent themselves from COVID 19.

Thon mentions the virus is still causing trauma in some parts of the country.

South Sudan currently has 203 confirmed cases, two recoveries and no death related to coronavirus.
