South Sudan Ministry of Health announces 16 new cases

The Ministry of Health announces 16 more positive cases of Covid-19 bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 74.
 
Director-General at the Health Ministry Dr. Richard Lako, told reporters that 188 test results were released by the public laboratory out of which 16 were confirmed positive while 35 need a retest and 137 were negative. 
 
He adds the confirmed cases are South Sudan citizens who have been granted approval to travel to the states from Juba and some are contacts of the previous 58 cases.
 
Dr. Richard stresses the taskforce acknowledges noncompliance by citizens to the directives the rise in coronavirus cases in the past one week.
 
He explains the taskforce recommends to the President to issue a provisional order to enforce the implementation of preventive directives.
 
South Sudan recorded two recoveries and 72 active cases and no registered death in the country related to COVID-19.
