State Labors Union in Western Bhar el Ghazal is calling on the government of South Sudan to increase the salaries of workers.
The Union’s chairperson El Sadig El Tayeb Ali says besides low payment there are other challenges facing workers such as poor working environment.
He adds regardless of all the challenges, workers are committed to do their work.
El Saidig reveals there is difference in the salary scale of employees working under government of South Sudan or GoSS and those at state departments.
Meanwhile Secretary General of the state union, Hagalla Simon appreciates workers’ for their commitments to provide services to their fellow countrymen and women.
He encourages them to observe the precautionary measures of coronavirus to avoid its spread.
The speakers made the remarks to Voice of Hope radio in Wau.
