Ministry of Education in Western Bahr El Ghazal State is calling on parents and guardians to care for their children and revise with them their school lesson.
Voice of Hope Radio quoted Director-General at the Ministry Luciano Alberto Oreio saying schools in South Sudan are closed due to COVID 19 pandemic.
He added that during this period, parents have a great role to aware their children about the risk of COVID-19.
Alberto urged parents to monitor their children in order to make sure that they are not moving anyhow to avoid contraction of coronavirus.
He advised people to follow all steps of preventive measures directed by World Health Organization or WHO and Ministry of Health to avoid spread of the virus.
In the last few days the high level taskforce on Coronavirus extended the closure of learning institution, banning of travels, until further notice.
