Parish Priest of Christ the King Cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Yei told Christians that a good shepherd can offer his life to protect his animals from the enemies.

According to Radio Easter, Fr Tom Poru Martin explained that a good shepherd is always ready to die in defending his animals.

During rain seasons the shepherds ensure that they protect the animals from the bad weather, he noted.

Jesus Christ is a good shepherd who offered his life to die for Christians to rescue them from the evil spirit, the priest acknowledged.

He mentioned that God is different from a person who is hired to take care of animals, because he can run away when there is a problem.

The priest clarifies that the devil is a thief who does not go to steal during the light, but rather at darkness.

The parish priest encouraged the faithful to pray so that the power of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead teaches them to be good shepherds to one another.
