The Incident Manager for COVID-19 at the Ministry of Health complains of bureaucratic measures at the presidency office about announcing coronavirus results.
Dr Angok Gordon laments delivering the message early minimizes rumors and the patients and their contacts are their priority to contain the virus.
‘As health workers we should be given a chance to start our work on time’ he adds.
The Incident Manager also mentions the patients of coronavirus are rejecting the health workers calls when they are supposed to be informed about their health status.
Dr. Angok stresses the laboratory team work in three shifts till very late in the night.
He adds the rapid response teams are at various locations in Juba, Yei, Nimule and Torit.
Dr. Gordon reiterates the response team lack stickers on their vehicles which pause as a challenge when responding to work at night.
South Sudan has registered three new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number in the country to 49 cases.
The new cases aged between 24 and 27-year-old were among the travelers to Warrap.
The official made the remarks to the press on Sunday during their weekly update on coronavirus.
