The High Elections Committee is preparing regulations to prevent the use of voter’s cards bought in order to rig the results of April ballot.

Southern Sudan High Elections Committee member Jersa Kide Barseba said yesterday that people are selling voter’s card due to poverty.

However, she added regulations are being put in place to avoid the use during the elections of voter’s cards that were bought.

Ms. Kide added that people who lost their voter’s card can vote all the same provided they come early to the polling stations.

Ms. Kide advised voters who lost their card to come early to the polling stations with an identity document.
