Prices of commodities have skyrocketed in Rumbek main market, due to coronavirus lockdown in the country.
Speaking to Radio Good News on Tuesday citizens raise complains about high market prices for food items like maize flour, sugar, cooking oil and others.
They urged the government to help regulate the prices.
Another consumer, Amani John says 50kg of sugar was sold at 11,500SSP, and now its 12,000SSP, while 50kg of maize flour was 11,000 SSP but it is sold at 12,000 Pounds.
On the other hand Agudyar Malith a trader in the market says only sugar has been on high demand and its price has gone up.
