“There is need for civic education,” says Jesuit Refugee Coordinator

The Jesuit Refugee services or JRS Yambio office Project coordinator, Felix Omollo stressed the need for civic education to public against Covid-19.
 
He told Anisa Radio that there is still great need to dispel rumours and raise community awareness.
 
The JRS coordinator has been in the frontline in the fight against the spread of Covid 19 in the country.
 
He said they have joined other humanitarian workers to sensitize the community by giving them the right information regarding the disease. 
 
Omolo said their aim is to help the community understand better about the corona virus and to erase misconceptions circulating about the pandemic.
 
The coordinator disclosed that they collaborated with Red Cross in training their community workers.
 
He reiterated JRS’ commitment to reach out to the vulnerable and distribute essentials items they need to protect themselves against Covid 19.
