High rate of insecurity in some parts of Lakes State prevents communities from accessing health services in the area, said Madir Maktab John, a nutritionist working with doctors for Africa.
He explained that some health facilities have been abandoned in the region due to fear of revenge killing, Good News Radio reported.
Maktab called on national government to carry out comprehensive disarmament in the area to allow health workers deliver services to the community.
In January Malek village was attacked by armed youth, killing health worker of doctors for Africa.
